Ready to get clarity and take the next step?
What is Precision Psychiatry?
Precision Psychiatry combines comprehensive psychiatric care with advanced diagnostic tools to better understand your individual needs. By considering your symptoms, treatment history, and clinically appropriate testing, we can develop a more personalized and informed approach to your mental health care.
Precision Psychiatry may be helpful if you've experienced medication side effects, had limited success with previous treatments, are seeking greater clarity about your symptoms, or would benefit from additional information to guide treatment decisions. It may also be appropriate for individuals undergoing an ADHD evaluation or looking for a more personalized approach to psychiatric care.
Pharmacogenomic testing examines certain genetic variations that may influence how your body processes or responds to specific medications. When relevant to a particular medication, these results can provide additional information to help your clinician make more informed prescribing and dosing decisions.
QbCheck® is a computerized assessment that provides objective information about core areas associated with ADHD, including attention, activity, and impulse control. At Good Mood, results may be incorporated into a comprehensive ADHD evaluation to provide additional insight into your symptoms and functioning.
Laboratory testing is individualized based on your symptoms, medical history, medications, and clinical needs. When appropriate, testing may evaluate areas such as thyroid function, metabolic health, nutritional status, vitamin or mineral levels, and other factors that may be relevant to your mental health.
Your results are reviewed and interpreted within the context of your overall clinical picture—not in isolation. We'll discuss what the findings mean, what they do and do not tell us, and whether they support any changes or recommendations for your treatment plan.
Yes. Precision Psychiatry is designed to complement your existing mental health care. Testing and diagnostic information can be incorporated into medication management, psychotherapy recommendations, lifestyle strategies, or other aspects of your individualized treatment plan.
Traditional psychiatric care relies primarily on your symptoms, history, clinical evaluation, and response to treatment. Precision Psychiatry builds on that foundation by incorporating additional information—such as pharmacogenomic testing, objective ADHD assessment, or laboratory findings—when clinically appropriate. These tools complement, rather than replace, a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation.
Depending on your individual needs, Good Mood may incorporate pharmacogenomic testing, objective ADHD assessment with QbCheck®, and targeted laboratory testing. Testing is selected based on your symptoms, history, and treatment goals—not automatically recommended for every patient.
No. Pharmacogenomic testing cannot definitively predict which medication will work best or guarantee that a particular treatment will be effective. It can provide information about certain gene-medication interactions that your clinician can consider alongside your symptoms, treatment history, side effects, medical history, and other clinical factors.
No. QbCheck® is one source of information and does not independently diagnose ADHD. An ADHD diagnosis requires a comprehensive clinical evaluation that considers your symptoms, developmental and psychiatric history, functioning, and other conditions that could contribute to attention or concentration difficulties.
If previous medications haven't provided the results you hoped for or caused difficult side effects, we'll review your treatment history and consider whether additional diagnostic information could help guide future decisions. Advanced testing does not guarantee treatment success, but in appropriate cases it may provide useful information for your clinician to consider.
Precision Psychiatry services are cash-pay and are not billed to insurance. Any applicable fees will be discussed with you before testing is completed.
Whether you're seeking answers, navigating a life transition, or simply ready to feel more like yourself again, we're here to provide compassionate, evidence-based care designed around you.
